The kitchen gate.
We will not pretend a coffee maker and a minibar are a pass. Here is the actual spec — and the good news about Big Island rentals.
The spec
- A full stove and oven — four burners minimum for coursed service
- Counter space — two clear meters is enough for most menus
- A working refrigerator with room for the day’s shop
- Running water and a sink that drains — the bar is that low, and some rooms miss it
Why Big Island rentals pass
The Kona–Kohala corridor is built on villas, resort-residences, and condos with full kitchens — the island’s lodging stock is effectively designed for chef service. Hotel rooms without kitchens are declined, politely, every time.
The check takes one message
Send your rental listing link with the inquiry. We confirm the kitchen from the photos and specs before quoting — and if it will not work, you hear that before money moves, not on service day.
Questions, answered
Yes — we travel with the kit the menu needs. What we cannot substitute is a real stove and cold storage; those the venue must have.
