Same craft, different calendar. A private chef cooks your events; a personal chef cooks your week. Many Big Island households use both.
The private chef — the event
Dinners, wedding weeks, parties: per-guest pricing on the published card ($110–$225), the full shop-cook-serve-clean arc, one evening at a time. This is the vacation register.
The personal chef — the calendar
Weekly cook days, meal prep, a stocked fridge: quoted per household, groceries at cost. This is the resident register — Kona–Kohala households and second-home owners who want the week handled.
The overlap
Stay Chef sits between: the private chef’s service level on the personal chef’s schedule, from $950 a day for visitors and estate weeks.
