Menu designed with you, shopped west-side the day of service, cooked in the Kohala or Kona kitchen you have, served, left clean. CORE $210–$325 USD a guest. ENTRY from $165 when the table and the kitchen are simpler. Stay Chef from $1,450 a day, groceries at cost with receipts. West-side quotes add 20% service and GET up to 4.712% once, never as a hospitality fold-in. Fifty percent locks the date. Gratuity is voluntary. Alcohol is BYO or /bar.

Hilo and Volcano are quote-only: two-and-a-half to three hours, dedicated staffing, never squeezed into a west-side day — not same-day CORE. Waimea and Hāmākua are a surcharge. Hour by hour on the west side
Arrival about three hours before the first plate. Lava-coast wind is planned into terrace setups. Kona town villas and Kohala resort residences are in the same corridor — about thirty minutes — but they are not the same driveway. We shop the west side that morning. We do not leave for Hilo at noon and promise a Kohala sunset.
First course when you sit. Mains through the middle. Dessert, cleanup, quiet exit. Wet-weather backups are written for Kohala lawns and Kona lānai. If Ironman week has closed a road or a grocery window, that is already in the day we sold you — flag event weeks on /quote early. The night ends when you say it ends, inside the window on the quote.
A small Kona condo galley shortens the pass: bring-equipment, a tighter menu, two people instead of a brigade. A Kohala estate can take more. We will say which before you deposit. Sibling /bar can open the terrace at golden hour if you want a pour that is not also the pass.
Dietary and west-side shopping
Vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-aware, pescatarian, and kids’ plates are designed in. Severe allergies are a conversation before confirmation, not a surprise at a Kohala pass. Kids eat with the house. Catch, ranch beef, and produce are shopped west-side the day of service. If the shop cannot meet a restriction, the draft changes before anyone drives the corridor.
Named farms and coffee origins print only with written verification. Kanpachi, Hāmākua mushrooms, two coffee belts — the plate can still sing while a producer line stays unlabeled. We do not invent a farm relationship for the menu. Coffee origin rules will tighten how cups are named; until then we do not guess.
Send restrictions with the headcount on /quote. /pricing holds the $210–$325 USD CORE band and ENTRY from $165. Elopements and dinners for two start from $825 as a fixed event. If the dietary conversation is really a week of events, open /weddings. If it is a staffed room without vows, open /catering.
Small kitchens in Kona residences
Kailua-Kona and Keauhou residences range from town condos to houses with a real range. Kohala resort kitchens are often built to cook and still come with vendor rules. We design to the cooktop we confirm. Bring-equipment menus exist for compact rooms. Hotel rooms without a cooktop are declined. A photo on /quote beats a listing that says “gourmet.”
Resort-residence quiet hours, parking, and COIs are arranged before the crew arrives. We do not discover a no-vendor clause at a Kohala gate. Wind on an uncovered lava-coast grill is a written indoor backup, not a hope. Waimea kitchens can be estate-grade and still carry a surcharge because the chef day includes the climb.
Cleanup does not shrink with the kitchen. We leave it cleaner than we found it. Vacation rental realities on Hawaiʻi Island
Most visitor bookings are vacation rentals along the Kona–Kohala corridor. The test is the kitchen. Cooktop, fridge, table. The island’s size is the other test: we will not fake east-side coverage on a west-side day. Property managers belong in the first /quote message. Typical reply in Hawaii business hours. WhatsApp is the same thread. No account. No payment to enquire. One follow-up, not a drip.
Ironman and other event weeks compress availability and groceries. Flag those dates. We hold one villa night — or one estate week on /weddings — at a time per crew. We do not invent reviews, chef names, or a local office. Proof is the published card and the written total. 50% locks the date once you accept it.
