We do not sell venues. We cook in them — so these notes cover the only things that matter to your caterer: outside-vendor rules, kitchen reality, and access.
The independent circuit
Ranch-heritage venues in Waimea, coffee-farm properties in South Kona, Volcano-area lodges, and private estates up and down the Kohala Coast — this circuit allows outside catering and is where the wedding week lives. Venue rental fees are set by the venues; our lines stay the published card.
The captive circuit
The big resorts run in-house catering with published packages and F&B minimums — beautiful rooms, captive food. If you marry at one, the surrounding meals (welcome, rehearsal, brunch) can still run with us at your villa.
What to ask any venue
- Are outside caterers permitted, and is there a buyout or preferred list?
- What are the kitchen specs — range, refrigeration, power, water?
- Load-in windows, noise curfews, and vendor insurance requirements?
- The rain plan, in writing, for any outdoor service?
Questions, answered
We will tell you plainly which properties cook well — kitchens, access, rules — once we know your guest count and side of the island. We take no venue commissions, so the answer is clean.
