What wedding catering costs here.
The Big Island wedding food market runs from a $75-per-person floor to $120–$250 a person at resorts — before service charges of 23–25%. Here is where every number sits, including ours.
The market, sourced
Venue-caterers anchor the floor — one major Kona venue publishes food from $75 a person with a 23% service charge and F&B minimums of $1,500–$2,000. Kohala Coast resorts publish F&B minimums of $7,500–$15,000 with meals $120 a person and up and service at 25%. Planner guidance puts independent catering at roughly $50–$150 a person for food.

Questions, answered
Because a price you can check is a price you can trust. The resort circuit’s 23–25% service charges are also published — the comparison is arithmetic, and arithmetic does not need hiding.
