Lūʻau-style catering, with respect.
The food of a lūʻau — kālua-style pork, laulau, lomi salmon, poi, haupia — deserves better than the buffet-line version. We cook it properly for private events, and we leave the costume theatrics to others.
The menu register
Lūʻau-style service runs family-style or stations from the published event band — from $150 a guest with staffing on hourly lines. Where a dish has a traditional preparation, we cook it that way and say so; where we adapt, we say that too.
Culturally careful, operationally honest
A private lūʻau-style dinner is a meal, not a performance of someone else’s culture — we do not stage costume imagery or fake ceremony. What we do is cook the dishes well, credit them properly, and staff the evening professionally.
Questions, answered
Traditional in-ground imu cooking requires permits, the right site, and real lead time — where it is feasible we quote it as its own line; otherwise we cook kālua-style with the same patience in a conventional setup.
